I had an outstanding customer service…
I had an outstanding customer service experience at the Tukwila, WA store today. I waited my 20 plus minutes in line to return a comfort I had bought two days before that I had not opened and was the wrong color for my room. I picked it up in the clearance area and asked before I made my purchased if I could return it, and was told yes. So I bought it. The return department nicely advised me it was a final sale and I had been misinformed and they could not return it. I was not happy about it, but was resolved to accept my error and chalk it up to a $60 learning experience. That is when the employee conferred with her supervisor and advised me they would note in their system this would be a one time exception and returned it. Technically they did not have let me return the comforter but they did. Thanks!!!

I placed an order on June 20th and…
I placed an order on June 20th and scheduled the delivery for June 23rd which was one of the options Ikea was offering me. On the 22nd I got a text message and email rescheduling it to the 26th, on the 26th I was notified it was going to be rescheduled for the 28th. On the 27th evening I got a message confirming the delivery between 9am-1pm and on the 28th at 8am I got a new email rescheduling again for the 1st of July. All those days they scheduled I had to work from home what became a problem with my employer. This morning I called them to try to understand what was happening and they simply cannot do anything but ask me to wait because it will be delivered on Saturday, but if I want to cancel the order that's ok for them. Absolutely no respect with its clients. They charge 50 euros for delivery and that's what we get from them. Now I need the items, if I order with a competitor it might take another 10 days to get it. So I just have to sit and wait to their goodwill in delivering my stuff that is even already paid. I called their customer service and all I was told is it will be delivered on Saturday and there is nothing else we can do. If you want to cancel your order that's ok with us. Zero Customer Service quality!

i have had to return my items twice…
i have had to return my items twice that i ordered on the app live chatting with a customer representative. i provided the product number i have then the item number for the kivik sofa cushions as well as kivik chaise well when they arrived they were the wrong color. i drove 45 minutes away and returned the guy was extremely rude and they didn’t have what i wanted in stock. so, i had to do the whole procedure all over again. when they arrived and i started to put one of the cushions on it was so much bigger so once again i have to go return them. both times should have been a easy order when i gave the item number etc. unfortunately now i will not try to get the items so my kivik sofa will be donated. there isn’t anything wrong with the sofa just wanted a different color

Unbelievably bad experience
I had an unbelievably bad experience with IKEA. I made an order a couple of weeks ago for a total value of roughly $3'000, and paid the additional fee for the In-home delivery scheduling June 30th as delivery date. The reason why I selected June 30th is that I'm currently in Italy and will be landing in NY on that day, so I can't be home to accept deliveries any day before that and my building is not able to accept deliveries on my behalf. Unfortunately, though, two days ago I got an email from IKEA saying that I would receive part of the order on June 28th and part on July 3rd. I thus immediately called customer service (despite currently being in Italy and having to pay extra for overseas calls), and was told that the part scheduled for July 3rd was brought back to June 30th as I had requested, and the part scheduled for June 28th was managed by FedEx and could be changed only after I got an email from FedEx, and that I would have had to call again IKEA after I got this FedEx email. So, yesterday I called IKEA again, right after receiving the FedEx email, and was assured that they had informed FedEx that the package should be delivered June 30th. Today I woke up to another FedEx email that confirms that the package is on its way and confirmed to be delivered today, June 28th. Now, I honestly don't know who's to blame here, but what I'm getting from IKEA is an enormous sense of incompetence and lack of care. I spent a ridiculous amount of time (taken from my holidays in Italy) on the phone with customer service or on the chat with IKEA agents, and that was still useless given the zero results I obtained.

Reservedelene ankommer ikke
We waited 2 months for reserve parts to become available. I have since ordered them twice, each time waiting 3-4 weeks before giving up hope. The parts simply don't arrive, and all the customer service says is 'just order them again.'

Tried to order a new kitchen
Tried to order a new kitchen. Online tool rubbish, no appointments in store so booked online appointment for evening due to working. On day of appointment had an email saying I must still confirm I want the appointment, as I hadn’t seen the email (was working) they cancelled the appointment!! Tried to call them & just got stuck listening to endless ABBA songs as they are unable to answer their phones too!!! I wanted to spend on a new kitchen, but clearly they don’t want my money!! Terrible customer experience!!

There is only ONE person working at the Exchange and Returns on a Saturday morning. There are TWENTY-SIX people waiting for assistance.

They sent the wrong item
They sent the wrong item. I didn't notice they changed the order to a different size until it had almost arrived. I attempted to return it, and they stated I would have to drive 2 hours to my closest Ikea to return it, or pay the $100 of shipping myself (it was a $60 item). I asked for a refund instead, which they refused, because they stated I should have noticed their error right away, and called to correct it. When you call customer service, they don't answer the phone, though . . . . and their Chat function is kind of hard to find. Terrible website, terrible customer service, and the shoddy furniture is made in China. It's not the highly-customizable, affordable furniture I remember from childhood. You might as well buy stuff of of Wayfair or Target or whatever. At least there are so many Target or WalMart store fronts that you can easily return the shoddily-constructed item.

Failure to deliver items. Shocking customer Service
My items were never delivered - I tried multiple times to contact them - it would be three weeks after the delivery date before I could get hold of a human being. When I did they were incredibly rude and unhelpful. They said they were aware of the delay but made no attempt to solve it. THEY STILL CHARGED ME FOR THE POSTAGE, Absolutely outrageous.

What a bad, horrible experience!
What a bad, incompetent, Swedish company. I ordered the 2 most expensive bed mattresses; large and top one. My main 160 cm mattress was delivered as a 140 cm. 40 min in this chat with a useless woman who in the end told me she was in sales and could not help me. Terrible delivery who exhorted 50 euros for another 25 meters. I believe the delivery company is XPO who should be prosecuted for extortion. I asked never ever to be served by them ever again, just to get the delivery done by that nasty company and only to get informed that the delivery would be delayed by 3 days on a Saturday. This is the very last time I would ever, ever order from IKEA again, despite being Swedish. I’d rather have quality goods, service and delivery than this utterly deplorable service. I hope that you will learn a lesson from their poor performance and consider other alternatives. Au revoir IKEA a plus jamais!

Store design and almond cake at IKEA
I really like the store design at IKEA. It is interactive, engaging, and thoughtfully planned, making every visit an adventure. They have a big range of products with different prices and quality. In general, I believe it’s a good value for money. And of course, I love almond cake and vegetarian meatballs at their cafeteria :)

Horrible customer service!!
Horrible customer service!! I bought 3 items that had to be assembled. They didn’t deliver one item. So I request for another item and the I paid for the assembly to be refunded. They made so difficult the refund process and the end said they couldn’t do the refund. Even after I sent them documents fro TaskRabbit (partnered company)
